Here is a travel agency called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boonsiriferry.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bonnsiri<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is the same company which is running the speedboats to Koh Mak and Koh Kood. So it is the simplest and cheapest solution.<\/p>\n<p>The bus from Thanon Tani Road including the speedboat to Koh Kood is 850b per person. So you don\u00b4t save a lot of time but pay much more money.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, so let\u00b4s get back to Koh Kood. There are free shuttles waiting for you, to drive you to your accommodation or help you, to find you a cheap homestay on the island. There are places where you can stay for around 8\u20ac a night. If you did not book yet, ask the driver for a cheap homestay. (for information about the 8\u20ac bed, scroll down)<\/p>\n<p>We stayed on the Island for 6 days and because we booked much to late we had to change accommodation three times. So make sure to book early enough.<\/p>\n<p>The only good thing is, we really know all beaches and a lot of resorts now. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>I really suggest you Klong Chao Beach and Bang Bao Beach.<\/p>\n<p>First night we stayed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1797874&amp;hl=en&amp;hid=1157779&amp;pcs=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pa Hin Sai<\/a> at Takean Beach. It was the only resort in our budget at this beach with free rooms. We paid 60\u20ac for two nights, for an old bungalow without air-condition.<\/p>\n<p>So it was untenable hot but it was first row, only 10meters to the water. Next day we split to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1797874&amp;hl=en&amp;hid=66525&amp;pcs=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sand and Sea<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1797874&amp;hl=en&amp;hid=909036&amp;pcs=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To The Sea Resort<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The main reasons why this is my favorite beach on Koh Kood is the coral reef there. It is accessible at low and high tide. The temperature is excellent for cooling down from the hot sun. Best time to go there is after breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>Around midday and afternoon there are around 15-20 people in high season. Unfortunatly it is also known as &#8220;Millionaires Row&#8221; because the Resorts in first row to the beach start around 100\u20ac night.<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed two nights at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1797874&amp;hl=en&amp;hid=168970&amp;pcs=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Pan Resort<\/a>. The other Resorts are around 250-350\u20ac a night.<\/p>\n<p>But don\u00b4t worry, there are a lot of more affordable accommodations only 5min by foot away. So there is only access to the west of the island.<br \/>\nIf you want to get a affordable room directly at one of Koh Koods most beautiful beaches, it is really important to book early enough.<br \/>\nWhen we have been there in January, we had to move 3 times in 5 days because everything was sold out.<\/p>\n<p>BANG BAO BEACH<br \/>\nis my favorite Beach on Koh Kood, crystal clear water, white long sand beach and a beautiful coral reef for snorkeling. There are only four resorts which are connected to the long beach, so it is almost empty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/partners\/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1797874&amp;hl=en&amp;hid=1157270&amp;pcs=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Siam Beach Resorts\u00a0<\/a>starts around <strong>30\u20ac per night <\/strong>rooms with air-condition<strong> 50\u20ac<\/strong>. Simple Bungalows, simple service but the cheapest resort on the most beautiful beach on Koh Kood and at least you can rent kayaks there for free and the scooter rental is cheap.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/koh-kood-resort\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html??cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Koh Kood Resort<\/a> starts at <strong>70\u20ac per night.<\/strong>\u00a0Nice bungalows and best deals in low seasons.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/to-the-sea-the-resort-koh-kood\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To The Sea Resort<\/a>\u00a0starts around <strong>100\u20ac per night <\/strong>(main season). One of my friend stayed there with his girlfriend. Really nice and new resorts, luxury bungalows with outdoor shower and worth the money. Also free kayak rental.<\/p>\n<p>KLONG CHAO BEACH<br \/>\nalso known as the Millionaires Row, but don\u00b4t worry, there are also some more affordable accommodations only 5min from the beach.<br \/>\nThere are some more people on this beach but it is still not crowded. The good thing here is, that you can reach several restaurants and bars by foot.<br \/>\nThere is a river running in the ocean which formed a really nice scenery and a stunning coral reef.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/peter-pan-resort\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Pan Resort<\/a> is the Resort between the river and beach. We stayed here for two nights and with around <strong>100\u20ac per night<\/strong> it is the cheapest place with direct beach access. The Bungalows are huge and authentic, the staff is nice and the breakfast is awesome.<br \/>\nThey have also free kayaks to rent. The coral reef right hand from beach is best at mid or high tide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; If you want high end luxury, there is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/high-season-pool-villa-spa\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Season Pool Villa<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/wendy-the-pool-resort\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wendy The Pool Resort<\/a>. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/high-season-pool-villa-spa\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Season Pool Villa<\/a>\u00a0for around <strong>325\u20ac<\/strong> offers you huge private Villas with private Pool, fitness centre and big Spa area.<br \/>\nAt\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agoda.com\/de-de\/wendy-the-pool-resort\/hotel\/koh-kood-th.html?cid=1797874\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wendy The Pool Resort<\/a>\u00a0you get a luxury room with direct access to the big hotel pool for around <strong>250\u20ac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; For all who don\u00b4t want to get broke on Koh Kood there are a lot of cheaper alternatives. Let\u00b4s still stay around Klong Chao beach and village. For only <strong>12\u20ac a night<\/strong> you get a basic double room at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelscombined.com\/Hotel\/PD_Guesthouse.htm?a_aid=190096\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PD Guesthouse<\/a>\u00a0only 10min walk or 2min drive from Klong Chao beach.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelscombined.com\/Hotel\/BB_Dorm_Koh_Kood.htm?a_aid=190096\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BB Dorm Rooms<\/a>\u00a0starts at <strong>8\u20ac<\/strong> a night and is the cheapest bed I know. For diving we highly recommend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kohkooddivers.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Koh Kood Divers.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; go snorkeling<\/strong>. You can rent snorkeling equipment in one of the diving shops. There are, as far I know, at least two coral reefs where you can go snorkeling on your own, at\u00a0<strong>Klong Chao Beach<\/strong> (at high tide) and <strong>Bang Bao Beach<\/strong> (at low tide) but just ask at the place where you rent snorkeling equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; discover the <strong>waterfalls<\/strong> and cool down in its natural pools. There are three waterfalls: Klong Chao (my fav.), Klong Yai Kee and Huang Num Kaew (only nice at rainy season)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; visit the <strong>traditional fishermen&#8217;s village<\/strong> Ban Ao Yai. There are the best seafood restaurants and you also can join the locals on a fishing trip.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; One of Thailands best restaurants we have ever been are <strong>Chaiyo Restaurant<\/strong> and <strong>Gumm lonely Club<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/destinationkohkood.com\/chaiyo-restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chaiyo Restaurant<\/a> is running by a super nice couple. The woman cooks awesome seafood and her husband servs it and entertain you the whole evenig.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/destinationkohkood.com\/gumm-lonely-club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gumm lonely Club<\/a> is also running by a couple and they even have two guest rooms. Their Burgers are the best I have ever eaten in Thailand. There guesthouse is located close to Ao Phrao Beach on a riverside, opposite of beautiful mangrove trees. They both studied in Bangkok and now living there dream on Koh Kood. They only work with VISA (no mastercard no MAESTRO) but when we have been there in January, they both were empty anyway.<br \/>\nMake sure to take enough cash to the island! After we asked quite everyone on the island, we figured out that you can get cash at the A-Na-Lay Resort. I forgot how much the fee was but it was expensive&#8230;..<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; There are <strong>scooter rentals<\/strong> almost everywhere on the island starting around 300 bath a day.<br \/>\nMake sure to wear helmets, if you don&#8217;t want to get stoped by police. A french guy told me he got busted without international driving license and had to pay 400 bath to the local police.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; years ago Thailands eastern islands <strong>Koh Chan, Koh Mak and Koh Kood<\/strong> were only known by Thai tourist.
